Indian Solid Wattle Extract
LATAN IWE an eco friendly product for manufacturing of all types of leather.
Leathers treated with LATAN -IWE product present a light brownish surface color.
LATAN IWE disperses readily in water & can be added directly to the drum as it is in small crush size solid in the normal way.
LATAN-IWE gives medium softness, excellent fullness with mellow handle.
LATAN-IWE gives maximum filling properties. gives firm and smooth leather grain.
LATAN-IWE gives medium tight, smooth, leveled grain ready for buffing and embossing.
LATAN-IWE is compatibility with vegetable extracts and synthetic tannins.
LATAN -IWE imparts medium light & heat fastness properties.
Applications:
For LATAN-IWE an excellent effect in the filling of leathers, the extract added to the tanning and retanning drums should be in small crush size or in powder non dissolved and preferently in “short baths”.
LATAN-IWE can be used in combination with any type of vegetable tanning products, synthetic and resin-based products.
For a better use of the filling properties of the extract, it is advisable to add LATAN-IWE in two or three portions along with the auxiliaries.
LATAN-IWE is suitable for retanning for all types of chrome and vegetable tanned leather,
LATAN-IWE is sensitive to ferric ions and the formation of iron stains. to counter this
LATAN-IWE has been adequately desensitized by the addition of a complexing agent. if
however iron stains should forms, the addition of an iron complexing agent is recommended
0.2 to 0.5 % based on shaved or pelt weight.
